Isoproterenol (ISO) increases left atrial conduction heterogeneity in rats. (A) Representative isochronous maps in the left atrium as obtained by multielectrode array (MEA) recording. Areas of isochronal crowding were found in the ISO group. The degree of crowding decreased in pirfenidone (PFD)-treated rats. Conduction was more heterogeneous in the ISO group compared with the control (CTL) group.
