150 patients of one surgeon who were having cataract surgery at Vancouver General Hospital, Canada. Age range 21‐95 years. |
Interventions |
Retrobulbar block (50 patients): received 4 ml of anaesthetic; peribulbar block (50 patients): received 7 ml of anaesthetic; and modified retrobulbar block (50 patients): received 4.5 ml of anaesthetic. |
Outcomes |
Akinesia, analgesia, orbital pressure, block supplementation, complications, patient satisfaction. |
