Trial name or title Simvastatin as an Add‐on Treatment to Copaxone for the Treatment of Relapsing Multiple Sclerosis
Methods A Double Blind, Randomised, Placebo Controlled Study
Participants 20 patients with Relapsing‐remitting MS
Between the age of 18 and 60 years (both included)
EDSS of 6.5 or less 20
Written informed consent
Interventions Intervention group: copaxone and simvastatin 80 mg
Control group: copaxone and calcium tablets
Outcomes Primary outcomes: number of new and/or enlarging lesions on T2‐ weighted MRI.
Secondary Outcomes: changes in the EDSS and MFSC score, number of documented relapses.
