CpG density (CpG_d) of a site i is determined as the fraction of bp that are part of a CpG dinucleotide within a radius of 50 bp upstream and downstream the DNA molecule. Low-density CpG-sites represent 87% of the total sites analyzed in Chr1. Medium-density CpG sites represent a 12%, and high-density sites less than 1%. Low density is defined as [0,10)%. Medium density is defined as [10,20)%. High density is defined as [20, $\text{CpG}{}_{d_{max}}$]%, where $\text{CpG}{}_{d_{max}}$ is the maximum CpG_d found in Chr1 (50%).
