Marwick 1989.

Clinical features and settings Clinical features
  • ESKD patients undergoing coronary angiography as part of transplant workup over a 2 year period. Patients were selected on the basis of longstanding diabetes history of chest pain or previous MI, or age > 40.

Setting
  • Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA

Participants
  • Number: 86

  • DM: 29%

  • Angina pectoris or IHD: 11%

  • Hypertension: 36%

  • Sex: 27% male

Study design Cross sectional study.
Target condition and reference standard(s) Coronary artery stenosis measured by coronary angiography
  • CAD was defined as the presence of ≥ 1 coronary arteries with ≥ 50% diameter stenosis

Index and comparator tests DSF
  • Results were classified based on the presence or absence of calcification of the coronary arteries

Follow‐up None reported.
