Specificity to the alpha band. We tested whether prestimulus power in other frequency bands (theta, low β, and high β) was related to response correctness, biasedness and their interaction. There was no effect of biasedness in any frequency band, suggesting that this effect is specific to the alpha band. In the high 20–30 Hz beta band, reduced power was predictive of a correct response (mean ± SEM across participants). See Table 3 for Bayes factors.
