DDT protects PC12 cell apoptosis from AlCl₃ by activating SIRT1. (A) After DDT treatment and AlCl₃ incubation for 48 h, the level of SIRT1 in PC12 cells was detected by western blot analysis. The intensity was normalized to the intensity of GAPDH and shown on the right. (B) PC12 cells were incubated with DDT and AlCl₃ for 48 h, and/or SIRT1 activator/inhibitor (resveratrol, Res, 10 μM for 24 h; nicotinamide, NAM, 10 mM for 16 h), and then collected to analyze the percentages of early and late apoptosis by flow cytometry analysis.
