AvrA inhibits the JNK/c-jun/AP-1 signaling pathway to decrease Beclin-1 in HCT116 cells. AvrA inhibited the JNK pathway and decreased Beclin-1 in HCT116 cells, and the effect of AvrA on Beclin-1 expression was abolished by the JNK inhibitor SP600125. (A) The Western blot shows a change in the JNK pathway markers and Beclin-1 in the cells treated with the JNK inhibitor SP600125 (50 μM, 30 min) and those infected with the different S.E strains (MOI:1:1, 1 h incubation before harvested, n = 4), These results shown are representative of four independent experiments.
