The blunt end of the arrow indicates the starting state, and the pointed end the population state (transgene fixation) drive is meant to achieve. Color gradients schematically reflect progress from starting state to end state. Controls for each drive experiment are discussed in the text and in Figs. 3 and 4. Experiments demonstrating drive of ClvRtko into a WT population (dashed outline) were published previously (25).
