Age of responsibility. Graphs demonstrate the differences in participants’ judgments when deciding between a child and an old adult versus when deciding between a child and an adult versus an adult and an old adult. The dilemmas are roughly equivalent when the side with children is either crossing legally or when there is absence of a crossing signal, but not when they are crossing illegally.
