Results from PCR-electrophoresis and fragment analysis. DNA was extracted for PCR using mixtures of MV4-11 and NKM-1 cells in different proportions. (A) Results from agarose gel electrophoresis. Reduction in AF was accompanied by fainter FLT3-ITD bands. Bands indicating ITD were visible at a 0.072 AR but were difficult to confirm at lower ARs. Detection limit for FLT3-ITD was between AR = 0.034–0.072. (B) Results from fragment analysis. AR was calculated using WT and ITD waveform area. Detection limit for FLT3-ITD was AR = 0.017.
