Mitogenic and co-mitogenic potential of thymol. Cell suspension of splenocytes was inoculated in 96 well plate and different concentration of thymol (50, 100 and 150 μM) was added for the mitogenic assay. In co-mitogenic test splenocytes were co-incubated with different concentration of thymol and concanavalin A (2 μg/ml) for 48 h. MTT assay was done to determine the mitogenic and co-mitogenic activity. Results are depicted as the mean ± standard error of the mean (SEM). Statistical significance was calculated using the Students t-tests. * represents P-values < 0.05, ** represents P-values < 0.01, and *** represents P-values < 0.001.
