Total copper concentration in TX mouse brain samples after PCA treatment. (A,B) The copper concentrations in the primary motor cortex were significantly increased in TX mice after 7 days as compared with those in mice in the model group. Additionally, the copper concentrations in the sensorimotor cortex were significantly increased in TX mice after 14 days of treatment with PCA and decreased on the 28th day of treatment as compared with those in the model group. (C) The copper concentrations in the prefrontal cortex of TX mice decreased with PCA administration. (D–F) The copper concentrations in the corpus striatum, hippocampus, and amygdaloid nucleus of TX mice increased on the 14th day of treatment and decreased on the 21st and 28th days of treatment. (G) The copper concentrations in the cerebellum of TX mice increased on the 7th day of treatment and decreased on the 21st and 28th days of treatment.
