Proinflammatory response in plasma prekallikrein (PPK)-depleted mice infected with S. pyogenes. Groups of mice (n=5 per group) were infected subcutaneously (sc.) with 2×107 colony forming units (CFU)/mouse S. pyogenes AP1.
