Survival, according to three different criteria of survival assessment (hypocotyl and radical extrusion, radicle growth and normal seedling development), of C. eugenioides seeds after desiccation to various water contents followed or not (desiccation control) by direct immersion into LN (rapid cooling) or by a precooling to −50°C at 1°C min−1 prior to immersion in LN (slow cooling). The HMFL is indicated by a vertical dashed line.
