The estimated limit of detection is calculated by finding the bacteria concentration with a probability of detection at 0.95. For SchuS4, the LOD is 4.3 × 10⁶ cfu/mL (6.4 × 10⁵ cfu/assay), and for LVS the LOD is 4.3 × 10⁵ cfu/mL (6.4 × 10⁴ cfu/assay).
