Sampling conducted from bridges over the river at approximately mid-stream and with samples acquired from 0–1 m depth. Physico-chemical parameters measured using a model 600QS sonde (YSI Inc.,
Yellow Springs, OH, USA).
Daily samples were collected using autosamplers (Teledyne ISCO, Lincoln, NE, USA) located at the Thames River mouth (ECCC ON02GE0006) and Thamesville, ON (ECCC ON02GE1000) with samples collected at 8 h intervals.
