Microbiota associated with pre-cancerous and cancerous lesions. Microbiota associated with colorectal cancer and colorectal adenomas are often one of 5 phyla. Understanding these relationships helps consolidate the number of implicated microbiota, as studies frequently use different taxonomic levels in reporting results. In this Figure, the microbiota associated with colorectal cancer are in red, those associated with adenomas are in orange and those without specific comments in the literature but within the phylum are in grey [28-29,34-36,39-49]
