The measurement dates and diurnal meteorological conditions are shown in Fig. 2. gs, stomatal conductance; T, air temperature; RH, relative air humidity; VPD, vapor pressure deficit; PAR, photosynthetically active radiation; WW, soil well-watered; DS, soil drought stress; LRH, low relative humidity; MRH, moderate relative humidity; HRH, high relative humidity. The daily average relative air humidity of LRH, MRH and HRH were 15.4%, 28.3% and 36.7% respectively.
