Video 3.

The transit of cargo causes a transient radial expansion of the axon. The passage of cargo-associated black holes through the axon shafts caused an obvious mechanical stretching of the shafts, which are visualized in the Lifeact-GFP–expressing neuron (green) by time-lapse SIM. Black holes that are associated with moving cargoes are indicated with arrows. Scale bar = 2 µm. Video is 6 frames/s.
