PACAP enhances the excitability of DG neurons. Trace (A), representative patch-clamp recording in current-clamp mode from DG neuron demonstrating action potential generation elicited by a 1 s, 50 pA current step. Dentate granule cell spiking upon PACAP infusion was greater than that elicited before peptide exposure.
