The ability of compound 22 to induce cell cycle growth arrest in A375 cells. Cells were exposed to 100 μM of compound 22 at 24, 48 and 72 h and then the number of cells were recorded at each stage of the cell cycle by means of (a) flow cytometry and also quantified as (b) percent of total DNA cellular content accumulated at each phase of the cell cycle (e.g. sub-G1, G1, S or G2/M). Data shown are means ± SD of 3 replicates from three independent experiments. Asterisks (***) denote statistical significance at p < 0.01 and p < 0.001 respectively when compared to their respective control (untreated cells)
