Behavioral tests. a Experimental timeline: Stereotactic intracerebroventricular (ICV) injection of miR-181a-5p antagomir or mismatch control was performed 24 h prior to mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI). Animals were sacrificed at 6 h, and 24 h or 28 d post-mTBI and assessed for histopathological changes in hippocampus. Behavioral testing was performed prior to sacrifice at 28 d.
