Hypothesized patterns in maternal sIgA delivery to milk by maternal cost and infant vulnerability to infectious disease. The framework utilized in this study predicts the highest milk sIgA delivery in the combination of low maternal cost and high infant vulnerability, and the lowest milk sIgA delivery in the combination of high maternal cost and low infant vulnerability.
