In vivo evaluation of worm burden and pathology in Sting−/− mice. C57BL/6 (WT) and Sting−/− mice (n = 10) were infected with 100 S. mansoni cercariae and, after 40 days of infection, the total number of worms recovered (a), number of eggs per gram of liver (b), number of granulomas per cm2 (c) and area of granulomas in mm2 (n = 10) (d) were evaluated.
