Similar inhibitory effect of pKAL on RT-R-MDA-MB-231 human breast cancer cells, which was similar to that on parental MDA-MB-231 cells. (A) Parental and RT-R-MDA-MB-231 cells were treated with the indicated concentrations of pKAL for 24–72 h, and then cell viability was performed by MTT assay. (B) Parental and RT-R-MDA-MB-231 cells were treated with the indicated concentrations of pKAL for 24 h. Then, the medium was changed with fresh complete medium. Ten days later, colony formation assay was performed as described in the methods. They were quantified by counting the colonies. The values are expressed as the means ± SEM from three independent experiments (* p < 0.05 vs. each control, ** p < 0.01 vs. each control, and ## p < 0.01 vs. control for RT-R-MDA-MB-231 cells).
