Forest plots of safety profile of antidepressants reflected by dropout rate and rate of study discontinuation due to adverse events in menopausal women with antidepressants and in those without. Note the non-significant difference in dropout rate between the two groups (k = 7, OR = 0.55, 95% CI = 0.35 to 0.86, p = 0.01) and significantly higher Dis AE rate in the subjects receiving antidepressants than those receiving placebos (k = 5, Hedges’ g = 0.25, 95% CI = 0.02 to 0.48, p = 0.03).
