Characterization of the regulatory sequence upstream of Rv0079 (DATIN). GTG is the start codon of Rv0079. The transcriptional start site (TSS) was identified at nucleotide 37 upstream the start codon (arrow), with the RACE chromatogram shown below. The predicted −10 and −35 promoter sequences were indicated (boxed). The double-underlined letters represent the putative ribosomal binding site (RBS) of Rv0079.
