Over-expression of MEGF11 did not promote cell proliferation. The MEGF11 over-expression vector was cloned into the pCMV-AC-GFP vector. After MEGF11 was over-expressed in TNBC cells, the cell number (a) was evaluated by Trypan blue exclusion assay and verified by cell cycle analysis (b). Growth-related signalling proteins including AKT, ERK, mTOR, and p70s6K (c,d), and nuclear factors NF-κB, CREB, and AP-1 (e,f), were analysed by Western blot and quantified using wild type as a control group. The growth curves were analysed with two-way ANOVA. Asterisks indicate a p value <0.05 in o/e MEGF11 TNBC cells compared to the scramble group by Mann-Whitney U test (n = 4).
