Note that the standard deviation of membrane thickness and area per lipid in the vesicle is smaller than those of the planar membrane (cf. Table 1). This is because, in FATSLIM software, the noise introduced from the fluctuations or curvature of the membrane is smoothed out, while the fluctuations of the simulation box in xy directions in the planar membrane are included in the standard deviation.
