After separation, aliquots of serum samples were stored refrigerated (2–8°C) or frozen (-20°C) for 1 d, 7 d and 14 d. At each time point one aliquot per condition was taken to measure THBS1 (A) and CTSD (B) levels. One additional aliquot was subjected to 3 freeze/thawing cycles over 1 week. Plots show the median, the 25 to 75% percentile (boxes) and minimum to maximum (whiskers) of relative serum levels, taking as 100% reference the respective concentrations of samples measured immediately after centrifugation (2–8°C 0 d, fresh) (n = 7). TOST equivalence testing: p-value <0.0001.
