A total of 160 weaned pigs (initially 6.3 kg; Line 359 × Camborough; PIC, Hendersonville, TN) were randomly allotted to four dietary treatments with five pigs per pen and eight replicate pens per treatment.

Data are least squares means of eight observations for all treatments.

Diarrhea score = 1, normal feces; 2, moist feces; 3, mild diarrhea; 4, severe diarrhea; 5, watery diarrhea.

Pen days = number of pens × the number of days assessing diarrhea scores.

Frequency = (number of pen days with diarrhea scores ≥ 3/pen days) * 100.
