Effect of BAPTA-AM and PKA inhibitors on the secretion of BDNF induced by 10 ng/ml IL-1β. Incubation of smooth muscle tissues for 24 h with the Ca2+ chelating agent BAPTA-AM abolished the increase in BDNF secretion induced by 10 ng/ml IL-1β. PKA inhibitor did not significantly affect secretion induced by IL-1β. Data are presented as the mean ± the standard error of the mean.
