Response rate for induction of experimental nephrotic syndrome. All of the animals receiving doxorubicin via retrobulbar sinus injection developed nephrotic syndrome (proteinuria >140 mg/mg creatinine) within 10 days; however, this was true for only six of the nine mice injected via the lateral tail vein. This result corresponded to a non-response rate (red) of 33% (p = 0.047, Fisher’s exact test).
