Burn wound and acute pneumonia infection models. (A) For the mouse burn wound infection model, mice were infected with approximately 1 × 10³ CFU of P. aeruginosa WT or ΔgshA. Experiments were performed with five mice in each group and repeated independently twice (n = 10). (B) For the mouse acute pneumonia infection, mice were infected with approximately 2.5 × 10⁷ CFU (2× LD₅₀) of P. aeruginosa. Mouse infections were performed with five mice in each group and repeated independently three times (n = 15). All mice were monitored for 7 days or until moribund and humanely euthanized. Results are presented as Kaplan-Meier survival curves; differences in survival were calculated by the log-rank test. *, P < 0.05.
