The first three columns are calculated for the BASE case, while the others reflect BCx10 – BASE changes. Low clouds are here approximated as the simple vertical average (no overlap assumption) of the cloud fractions between 1000 and 680 hPa levels. BC ratio refers to the ratio of the vertically averaged BC concentrations (given in mgm−3) above 500 hPa to below 500 hPa, for the BASE case.
