Co-localization of CIPK8 and SOS2 in tobacco leaf epidermal cells and Arabidopsis protoplasts. Plasmids expressing the CIPK8–YFP and SOS2–CFP fusion proteins were produced as described in ‘Materials and methods’. The plasmids were transformed into tobacco leaf cells and Arabidopsis protoplasts. The fluorescence signals from tobacco epidermal cells (left panel; scale bars: 20 μm) and Arabidopsis mesophyll protoplasts (right panel; scale bars: 5 μm) were detected using confocal microscopy.
