For each individual time point, GO categories that are enriched in genes with significant expression difference between male and female samples are summarized. Only categories related to development are shown here as they represent a major proportion of significantly enriched GO categories. M and F mark categories which are enriched in genes with male or female biased expression, respectively. Difference in transcript abundance between the sexes was calculated independently for each time point, i.e. there can be overlaps in the gene sets between time points. See also Fig. 7: Venn diagram.
