Notes: (A) UV-Vis spectrum of citrate-stabilized silver nanoparticles before and after addition of Mueller-Hinton Broth II medium. Metallic silver precipitation is accompanied by suppression of characteristic nanoparticle-associated plasmon resonance spectrum; (B) UV-Vis spectrum of Tween-stabilized silver nanoparticles before and after addition of Mueller-Hinton Broth II medium. Strong plasmon resonance absorption band in the range of 400 nm confirms the presence of native metal nanoparticles.
