Differences in stability of citrate and Tween-stabilized silver nanoparticles in the presence of gentamicin (0.4 mg/mL).

Notes: (A) UV-Vis spectrum of citrate-stabilized silver nanoparticles before and after addition of gentamicin (0.4 mg/mL). Metallic silver precipitation is accompanied by suppression of characteristic nanoparticle-associated plasmon resonance spectrum; (B) UV-Vis spectrum of Tween-stabilized silver nanoparticles before and after addition of gentamicin (0.4 mg/mL). Strong plasmon resonance absorption band in the range of 400 nm confirms the presence of native metal nanoparticles.
