Extremely high number of neutrophils was identified at the injection site of the xenogeneic group. A massive recruitment of neutrophils was discernible at the injection site of the xenogeneic (xeno) group. A striking difference in neutrophil proliferation was evident when comparing the xenogeneic to the allogeneic (allo) and syngeneic (syn) groups.
