Dynamical motions associated with the enzyme were identified using RMSF10. The thin blue lines show rigid areas while the green to red areas with thicker tubes correspond to regions displaying large conformational fluctuations. The selected loop is in the highlighted circle. After design considerations, five mutants were selected for dynamical loop engineering. The red residues are inserted residues. In addition to E and N as the first two insertions, five different residues were considered at the third insertion site.
