Figure 6. — Cav2.1 mt molecules induce cell apoptosis via the Bcl-2/Bax, caspase-3 and PARP pathways. SH-SY5Y cells were transfected with empty vector, Cav2.1 wt, Cav2.1 mt and Cav2.1dm3 plasmid and the levels of Bcl-2, Bax, cleaved caspase-3 and cleaved PARP were detected by western blotting. Upper left panel, western blot result indicated that Cav2.1 mt molecules activated the Bcl-2/Bax, caspase-3 and PARP apoptotic pathways.
