CD spectra of amphiphiles 1–3, the peptidic analogue 4, and C16H31O-V3A3E3, a peptide amphiphile developed by the Stupp group. All samples were prepared in PBS, pH 7.2, at a concentration of 100 μM for 1 and C16H31O-V3A3E3 and 250 μM for 2–4. The CD signal was converted to mean residue ellipticity which normalizes for peptide length and concentration (see Materials and Methods for details).
