Elevated endogenous DNA damage in HCC.
Immortalized hepatocyte MIHA and HCC cell lines were seeded onto 6-well culture plates with coverslips and treated (i) with or (ii) without IR (10Gy). After recovery for 6h, fixed and permeabilized cells were immunostained with (a) gamma-H2AX and 53BP1 and, (b) RAD51 and 53BP1 antibodies, followed by fluorescent-conjugated secondary antibodies. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI. Images were captured on Nikon Eclipse 800 microscope.
