Study name CCOlchicine for the preventioN of Vascular Inflammation in Non CardioEmbolic Stroke (CONVINCE)
Methods Prospective, open‐label, blinded endpoint design
Participants Adults over 40 years of age who have suffered an ischaemic stroke or TIA (72 hours to 28 days before randomisation) not caused by cardiac embolism or other defined causes
Interventions Colchicine 0.5 mg od plus usual care vs usual care alone
Outcomes Recurrence of non‐fatal ischaemic stroke, non‐fatal hospitalisation for unstable angina, MI, cardiac arrest, or vascular death
