Performance of socially-housed (n = 15) and singly-housed mice (n = 15) on an Open Field Test before and after exposure to chronic stress. A decrease in mean time spent in the center of the open field indicates an increase in behavioral stress levels. There was a significant interaction of Housing Condition and Stress Exposure, F(1, 30) = 13.44, p < 0.001, = 0.31, indicating that singly-housed mice showed a greater decrease in open field activity after exposure to chronic stress than socially-housed mice.
