Figure 6. — Estimation of SOD enzyme activity as described in methods section. The cell lysate from cultures treated with and without Aβ_1-42 grown for 72 hours were used to measure SOD activity. The cultures treated with Aβ_1-42 were significantly (*) (P < .001) different from the control samples. However, the presence of vitamin D3 or curcumin made no change to their recovery from the treatment. The synergistic effect of vitamin D3 and curcumin caused significant (#) (P < .05) recovery of SOD enzyme activity. SOD indicates superoxide dismutase.
