To simplify the diagram of this three-dimensional test, we omit the computational domain in this figure describing the problem setup. In the IBFE model, however, the structure is contained within a computational domain with dimensions Ω = [0, L]3 and L = 9 cm, and the solid mesh is placed in the center of this domain. Zero fluid velocity is enforced on the boundary of Ω.
