Propofol affects cytokine production. Parental or Trastuzumab-resistant (Tr-R) SKBR3 cells or HTB-20 cells were treated with either DMSO vehicle or 5 μg/ml propofol for 96 h. Cell culture supernatant was collected and ELISA was performed to quantitate levels of IL-6 or IL-8. *p < 0.05 and ^#p < 0.01, compared to vehicle.
